Vacuum Nozzle
Vacuum Nozzle
Chip Pick-Up Tools, also known as chip vacuum nozzles, are the actuators responsible for picking and placing semiconductor chips.
Regardless of how rapidly wafer integration density continues to advance, the fundamental design principle of chip vacuum nozzles has remained consistent: they feature an inverted pyramidal concave cavity with an extremely smooth surface finish, which securely holds the chip via suction along either two or four edges.
By selecting nozzles of appropriate specifications, the four corners of the chip are ensured never to come into direct contact with the pick-up tool, thereby preventing damage and ensuring reliable handling.
